Manchester City returned back to winning ways as they defeated Burnley 5-0 at the Etihad stadium.

City dominated the game, a scare from Kompany who could have gotten a red card for a reckless challenge in the 1st minute of the game but saw only yellow. Aguero went on to open the scoring before the break.

In the second half, City scored 4 goals with Bernardo Silva, Fernandinho, Mahrez and Sane all getting on the scoresheet. A return for Kevin De Bruyne in the second half after 2 months out injured. Phil Foden got a run out for 15minutes and created 3 chances when he came on, had a hand in the final goal, he is truly one for the future.

Barcelona finally returned to winning ways against Sevilla at the Camp Nou. A bitter-sweet victory which saw Lionel Messi subbed off during the first half with an injury to his elbow, he will be out for 3 weeks and will miss El-Classico next week, he will be back in time to face Atletico Madrid in 3 weeks.

Barcelona opened the scoring in the second minute of the game with a goal by Coutinho assisted by Messi. Messi scored the second just 10 minutes later after a counter attack. Messi got subbed of later in the first half with Dembele coming on for him.

Sevilla increased their tempo in the second half which left spaces for Barcelona but Suarez missed multiple chances. He was later fouled in the box and converted from the penalty spot to make it 3-0.

Sevilla pushed but Ter Stagen made multiple saves to keep Barca in the lead before a deflected shot by Lenglet from Sarabia beat the German. Barcelona scored minutes later from a volley by Rakitic. The game looked dusted until a counter-attack by Sevilla which saw Muriel score a stunner from outside the box but it was too late for a comeback.

Barcelona will have to find a way to keep winning without Lionel Messi as they have multiple fixtures coming up.

Atletico Madrid dropped points yet again away at Villarreal as they are doing everything possible to gift Barcelona the title. Games after the international break are always difficult because most of their key players travelled far.

The game was balanced with Villarreal edging it on possession. Filipe Luis opened the scoring in the 51st minute. Villarreal equalized 15 minutes later with a goal by Gaspar as both teams share the points.

Juventus 100% start to the season ended after Genoa held them to a surprising 1-1 draw at Turin.

Juventus dominated the game but failed to get enough shots on target, with 10 shots off target by Juventus. Ronaldo opened the scoring at the 18th minute with Juve looking to continue their winning streak until Bessa equalized at the 67th minute, Genoa held on for a draw against the biggest team in Italy. Juventus remain top of the table.
